Personalised Pacing, Built From Your Own Race History

Drag one split, and the whole plan recalculates.

Manual Race Goals (formerly PaceMe) is still free and still does the job: set a target time and get splits. Athlete IQ builds a personalised layer on top, a plan that reacts to your own data instead of a number you typed in and hoped was realistic.

How personalised pacing works

See a recommended split for every run and station, or drag any target yourself and watch the whole plan recalculate around it, showing exactly how much time that change banks or costs against your PB and your overall goal. Racing doubles? Build the plan with your partner, splitting the workload station by station, then share it before race day so you're both racing to the same numbers.

Why a plan built from your data beats a guess

A flat target time treats every athlete the same, evenly split runs, evenly split stations, no room for the fact that your Sled Push is your strength and your Burpee Broad Jumps aren't. Personalised pacing starts from your actual race history instead, so the recommended splits already reflect where you're fast and where you're not, rather than asking you to figure that out yourself and adjust manually. It's the difference between a plan built for a generic athlete and one built for you specifically.

Where to find it

Open Race Goals for an upcoming race and look for the personalised split option alongside the manual target-time flow. Your splits, race plan, and doubles partner view all live in the same place, so switching between them mid-planning doesn't mean starting over.

Who gets the most out of it

Anyone with enough race history for the recommendation to actually mean something, and doubles teams especially, since building a partner split manually is tedious to get right by hand. If you're new to HYROX with little history behind you, manual Race Goals is still a solid starting point until you've got results to personalise against.

Getting the most out of it

Build your plan a few days out, not the morning of the race. That gives you time to actually adjust individual splits around your known strengths and weaknesses, rather than accepting the first recommendation and hoping for the best. For doubles, talk through the split with your partner before locking it in, the numbers are only useful if you both actually agree to race to them.

Common questions

Is manual Race Goals going away? No, it stays free. Personalised pacing sits alongside it as an Athlete IQ option, not a replacement.

Do both doubles partners need Ultra? The plan is built and shared from within the app, check the doubles split view for the current sharing flow when setting up your race.

Can I still edit splits manually after they're personalised? Yes, dragging a target is how the plan recalculates, personalised just changes the starting point, not your ability to adjust it.
