Enter a Challenge

Always have something to train for.

Random training with no target is how motivation quietly dies around week three. Challenges, part of Compete in ROXFIT Ultra, give every session a reason to show up: a set workout, a live leaderboard, and a clock counting down on how long you've got to enter.

How Challenges work

Each challenge shows you everything you need before you commit: what it's built from, how long it takes, and how much time is left to enter. Once you're in, you compete on the same leaderboard as everyone else who's taken it on, filterable by age or gender, so you can see exactly where you sit against the field before, during, and after your attempt.

Why a deadline changes how you train

An open-ended goal is easy to put off, there's always tomorrow. A challenge that closes on a fixed date doesn't give you that option, and that's exactly the point. Knowing a leaderboard is filling up while you're still deciding whether to enter is a different kind of motivation to a workout sitting in your library indefinitely. It's the same reason race entries work better than "train whenever," a deadline turns intention into a session you actually do.

Where to find it

Open the Challenges section inside Compete to see what's currently running. Every athlete gets one sponsored challenge free each month with a full leaderboard; Ultra unlocks every other challenge running at the same time, plus the full challenge archive to browse and enter whenever you want.

Who gets the most out of it

Anyone whose motivation dips without a target on the calendar. It's especially useful between races, when there's no event on the horizon to train towards, a challenge fills that gap with something real to chase, complete with a leaderboard to prove it happened.

Check the leaderboard preview before you start rather than after. Knowing roughly what time you need to podium changes how you pace the workout, not just how you feel about the result once it's done. Browsing the full archive is worth doing on a quiet week too, there's usually something that matches exactly what you're already training for.

Common questions

What happens to a challenge once it closes? The leaderboard locks and shows as closed, your entry and rank stay visible, it doesn't disappear.

How often does the free sponsored challenge change? A new one goes live each month, so there's always a current free entry running even without Ultra.

Can I retry a challenge if I don't like my time? Depends on whether the challenge is still open for entry, once it closes the leaderboard locks and that entry stands.
